International Festival for Young Poets @ the First Step

It was launched in 2014 and has been taking place every other year. Due to the covid 19 restrictions the festival did not take place in 2020 and 2022. It is three days long and take place in early November From Friday to Sunday inclusive.

Young poets, aged 15 to 30 years old, talented, adventurous, with a dynamic language, a fresh look, everyone from his / her own starting point, have the opportunity to share their first journeys into poetry, with both the public and other internationally known poets from Cyprus and abroad.

These poems of innocence, that may not have even walked out of the notebooks of the young poets, are published in a poetic collection together with the poems of all other participants. The publication is trilingual; original language, Greek and English, and is ready for distribution during the festival.
